How This Tool Works
The Seller Stack Builder uses a five-question quiz to profile your Amazon business and then recommends a personalized set of software tools that match your revenue tier, catalog size, specific needs, budget, and selling platforms. The recommendation engine scores each tool in our database based on how well it covers your stated needs, how appropriate it is for your revenue level, and whether it fits within your budget range.
Tools are categorized as all-in-one suites, product research platforms, profit tracking dashboards, PPC management tools, repricing engines, review automation services, and inventory management systems. The algorithm prioritizes all-in-one tools when you have three or more needs, since they typically offer better value than subscribing to multiple single-purpose tools.
Each recommendation includes the suggested plan and monthly cost, key features, a link to the tool's website, and a link to our full in-depth review. The cost breakdown at the bottom totals your monthly and annual stack expense, and any uncovered needs are flagged so you know what gaps remain.
Example Scenario
A growing Amazon seller doing $10K/month with 8 SKUs needs help with product research, keyword research, listing optimization, PPC management, and profit tracking. Their budget is $50 to $150/month and they sell on Amazon only. The Stack Builder recommends Helium 10 Platinum ($79/month) as the essential all-in-one tool covering research, keywords, listing optimization, PPC, and analytics.
It also recommends SellerBoard Professional ($29/month) for dedicated profit tracking with real-time P&L per SKU, which goes deeper than Helium 10's built-in profit analytics. The total stack cost is $108/month ($1,296/year), covering all five stated needs. The recommendation page links to our detailed reviews of both tools so the seller can compare features before subscribing.
If the same seller selected "Free only" as their budget, the tool would instead recommend Helium 10 Free, Teikametrics Free AI for PPC, and note that profit tracking requires a paid tool upgrade.
When to Use This Tool
Use the Stack Builder when you are first setting up your Amazon seller toolkit, or when your business has grown to the point where your current tools no longer fit. If you recently crossed a revenue milestone (e.g., $5K to $25K/month), your needs and budget have likely changed, and a different combination of tools may serve you better.
It is also useful when you are evaluating whether to consolidate multiple subscriptions into an all-in-one platform, or when a tool you rely on raises its prices and you want to explore alternatives. The quiz takes 60 seconds and gives you a clear, actionable recommendation with transparent pricing.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the algorithm pick which tools to recommend?
Each tool in the database has a coverage map of which seller needs it addresses. The algorithm scores tools based on how many of your selected needs they cover, adjusts for budget fit and revenue tier appropriateness, and then ranks by score. All-in-one tools get a bonus when you have many needs. The top 3 to 5 tools are selected, with deduplication to avoid recommending two tools that cover the same need.
Are the tool recommendations biased by affiliate partnerships?
The recommendation algorithm scores tools purely on need coverage, budget fit, and revenue tier match. We do have affiliate relationships with some of the recommended tools, which is disclosed on our
disclosure page. However, the scoring logic does not factor in affiliate commission rates. The goal is to recommend the best tools for your situation, not the ones that pay us the most.
Can I retake the quiz with different answers?
Yes. Simply refresh the page to start over with a clean slate. This is useful for comparing different budget levels or need configurations. For example, you might take the quiz once with your current budget and again with a higher budget to see which additional tools become available and whether the upgrade justifies the extra cost.
How often are the tool prices and features updated?
We review and update tool pricing, plan tiers, and feature coverage on a quarterly basis. Software companies frequently adjust their pricing and features, so there may be short periods where a listed price is slightly out of date. Always confirm the current price on the tool's website before subscribing. The links in the recommendation lead directly to the tool's pricing page or our full review.
What if my needs are not listed in the quiz?
The quiz covers the nine most common seller tool categories. If you need something more specialized (such as brand protection, international expansion tools, or wholesale sourcing databases), check our
full FBA tools roundup, which covers a broader range of categories with detailed recommendations for each.
